Southlake Stage
Theatre Opening Branding I 2018
Southlake stage is a theatre in Southlake, Texas preparing for its opening season: Hip-Hop Greek Tragedies
The theatre sets classics to hip-hop music, changing their set of classics every season. The visual system uses brightly colored diagonal blocks and paint slashes interspersed with circular details, evoking lively rhythm and movement in a Kandinsky-like fashion.
The Logo
The word mark uses a brush-stroke typeface, alluding to the urban style of music which Southlake Stake would showcase.
Magazine Ad and Play Poster
The magazine ad visually describes southern hip-hop by mixing southern and urban visuals.
The play poster uses the same branding elements but focuses on the idea of greek tragedies, advertising the "Illiad".
It uses a background similar to the magazine ad, but incorporates the decorative Ancient Greek meandros pattern, and the central image showcases the Greek statue, Fallen, Warrior, pertinent to themes in Homer's Iliad.
Ticketing App
The Southlake Stage ticketing app provides theatre-goers with all the information they need on the shows
and the theatre, providing schedules, maps, previews, and convenient ticket delivery methods.
